Phase 1: Remote education for all students

The schools have been closed for learning. Since they were created. There is no learning occurring in schools.

Remote Learning: What to Expect

PSD teachers and staff have invested countless hours to train and prepare to give students the best education when PSD is in remote education. Teachers continue to utilize best practices for remote teaching and learning to support all students as they learn online. Additionally, schools follow district-level expectations for remote education so families, students and staff alike have a clear understanding of how they work together this year.

Here’s what you can expect from the District:

Educate every child, every day. PSD is committed to providing students with an outstanding educational experience whether it’s in-person at schools, remote learning or a blend of both in the 2020-21 school year.

Technology support will be available for students and families to help them navigate software applications and troubleshoot technical issues.

Social and emotional support will continue to be provided to students, families and staff during these challenging times.

Health and safety prevention measures will be implemented and continuously monitored at all PSD schools and sites (when open) to ensure safe environments for everyone throughout the school year.
