This story is yet another example of the danger inherent in treating women’s emotions as a barometer of social acceptance, a phenomenon that is having detrimental impacts on society at large. Numerous commentators were quick to jump on the story as proof of the inherently evil nature of men and were more than willing to present private schools as a production line for future rapists. Not only does this framing distort the true events of the case, but it also ruins the lives of the young men involved in what was an ultimately harmless incident and is further evidence of the left’s intent to erode our institutions and erase our culture.
