But I’m like, ‘How about you just be better at expressing your emotions and being there emotionally? That would be great.’”

Emily says they slowly “get emasculated” and don’t know how to handle their feelings. “And then they resent you and then they start to tear you down. And then you’re just back to square one,” she said.

Emily has complained many times before about the patriarchy and the toxic masculinity of men; it’s ironic that she is now expressing disappointment in the feminization of men, when she herself has supported the idea of women being stronger and adopting more traditionally masculine qualities.
