Good evening friends and enemies. The Great One finds himself bouncing back and forth between this and that. I spent the first two hours of my morning trapped in one of those brain cycles where I’m unable to accomplish anything because I can’t decide what I should be accomplishing. I have so many potential projects to be working on, so much I’d like to get done (I did clean the kitchen counters, sink, and put away some food & dishes), plans for errand running and shopping today, social time later with friends, deciding do I write linkage or record a podcast for today or just blow the whole thing off . . .

I won’t bullshit you, I found myself sinking into depression for about 30 minutes. I was not happy.

However I wasn’t suicidal. Allow me to remind you – The Great One is not suicidal. “Pimps don’t commit suicide.” You have seen that movie right? If you hear that I committed suicide this is not true. I was killed by the government and you are being lied to.

Kind of like you’re being lied to now. Not just about Wuhan Virus (’cause I know that’s where you mind first went) but about everything. For example, did you know that roads are flat places on the ground and almost anyone (with a penis that is) can build one. Women can’t build roads because road building involves work and effort.

When someone comes along and drops a truth bomb of nuclear magnitude the snowflakes and commies and parasites and femistatists shit themselves. Case in point.

It sounds good to say every life is worth saving no matter what the cost. I’m sure saying it feels really good to many people. The sort of people who don’t understand consequences.

What can we realistically expect from an extended shut down of the “non-essential” businesses? Small business will be destroyed. The mega-corporations (which I though were evil according to leftists) will become the only source of employment and with all the unemployed people seeking jobs be able to pay less and exercise more control over their employees than ever.

Besides, without restaurant jobs where are liberal arts majors going to work?

Over on Twitter (where I’m spending too much time – because any time on Twitter is too much time on Twitter) I’m seeing a number of idiots with world views like this.

The economy and capitalism have “nothing to offer most of us” other than:

• indoor plumbing
• flush toilets
• electricity
• kitchen appliances
• roads (oh wait, roads don’t come from the economy, they are created magically by governments)
• food
• water
• medicine
• sex toys
• clothing
• coffee
• marijuana (and essential industry in California)
• computers
• smart phones
• Apple devices
• disinfectants
• men who get up a 0400 to collect trash and haul it to landfills
• jobs
• taxes which fund your welfare payments

all this and much much more . . .

The terrifying bit is that people just like this are winning the culture war. People just like this are beating the rightards, alt-shite, and white nationalist at everything. Because the rightards, alt-shite, and white nationalist are cucks who dare not kill their enemies least they become “just like them” the way it happens in the movies.

The “economy” is everything. Literally Hiter (who’s art was better than the art of most “local artists”) everything. The economy is literally Hitler people exchanging goods (objects) and services (actions) with each other. If you destroy people exchanging objects and actions everyone will die. Not just 2.5% of the population who are mostly parasitical boomers. Everyone. Except for the rich. Whom leftards claim to hate. While buying Apple products. Which are made by slave labour in China who are working for an international multi-billion dollar corporation.

Or perhaps you think the government will magically create food just like roads are magically created.

“The economy doesn’t do anything to help poor people. Thus if the economy goes away poor people will not be poor any more.”

Or maybe it’s this:

“Rich people are rich because of the economy and poor people are poor because of the economy. If the economy crashes we’ll all be equal and equality is good.”

Or maybe (my money is on this one) they have Trump Derangement Syndrome and it’s this:

“If enough jobs are lost everyone will get a basic minimum income and free health care from the government and Trump will lose the election and 30% unemployment is totally worth it if Trump loses the election and I get free stuff from the government.”

These libtard idiots use their iPhones to tweet about how much they hate corporations and rich people yet lack the intelligence to understand that shutting down small businesses and putting people out of work will result in more money and more power for rich people and corporations.

Or do they know exactly what the consequences will be?

Here is another truth you aren’t going to like. Yea, brace yourself snowflake. You know how TGO has been telling you for years the State breeds inferior people and keeps them alive with welfare? Every human life is not worth saving yet this seems to be the approach taken by the left towards Wuhan Virus. Originally slated to close at 5 p.m. March 24 along with dozens of other retail operations deemed non-essential by the city, which are ordered to stay shuttered until April 10, recreational dispensaries and liquor stores in Denver may now remain open “with extreme physical distancing in place,” according to an update from the city.

“We thank the mayor for clarifying his order. Without the clarification, the assumption was marijuana was forced to close in Denver. This caused hysteria and panic, thereby negating the progress we made around social distancing,” reads a statement from Terrapin Care Station, a Colorado dispensary chain with a store in Denver. “We’re glad the mayor clarified. We will work to get word out so that people stop flocking to stores given the initial hysteria. We were very concerned for our employees and customers.

“Hopefully, panic will subside by tomorrow morning and we can get back to our mission — social distancing to stop the spread of COVID-19.”

The current coronavirus disease, Covid-19, has been called a once-in-a-century pandemic. But it may also be a once-in-a-century evidence fiasco.

If the pandemic dissipates — either on its own or because of these measures — short-term extreme social distancing and lockdowns may be bearable. How long, though, should measures like these be continued if the pandemic churns across the globe unabated? How can policymakers tell if they are doing more good than harm?

Adding these extra sources of uncertainty, reasonable estimates for the case fatality ratio in the general U.S. population vary from 0.05% to 1%.

That huge range markedly affects how severe the pandemic is and what should be done. A population-wide case fatality rate of 0.05% is lower than seasonal influenza. If that is the true rate, locking down the world with potentially tremendous social and financial consequences may be totally irrational. It’s like an elephant being attacked by a house cat. Frustrated and trying to avoid the cat, the elephant accidentally jumps off a cliff and dies.

Could the Covid-19 case fatality rate be that low? No, some say, pointing to the high rate in elderly people. However, even some so-called mild or common-cold-type coronaviruses that have been known for decades can have case fatality rates as high as 8% when they infect elderly people in nursing homes. In fact, such “mild” coronaviruses infect tens of millions of people every year, and account for 3% to 11% of those hospitalized in the U.S. with lower respiratory infections each winter.

These “mild” coronaviruses may be implicated in several thousands of deaths every year worldwide, though the vast majority of them are not documented with precise testing. Instead, they are lost as noise among 60 million deaths from various causes every year.

In an autopsy series that tested for respiratory viruses in specimens from 57 elderly persons who died during the 2016 to 2017 influenza season, influenza viruses were detected in 18% of the specimens, while any kind of respiratory virus was found in 47%. In some people who die from viral respiratory pathogens, more than one virus is found upon autopsy and bacteria are often superimposed. A positive test for coronavirus does not mean necessarily that this virus is always primarily responsible for a patient’s demise.

Yet if the health system does become overwhelmed, the majority of the extra deaths may not be due to coronavirus but to other common diseases and conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, trauma, bleeding, and the like that are not adequately treated. One of the bottom lines is that we don’t know how long social distancing measures and lockdowns can be maintained without major consequences to the economy, society, and mental health. Unpredictable evolutions may ensue, including financial crisis, unrest, civil strife, war, and a meltdown of the social fabric. At a minimum, we need unbiased prevalence and incidence data for the evolving infectious load to guide decision-making.

It is normal to be scared, distressed or angry when you hear about a disease outbreak, even when you are at a low risk of getting sick. Be careful not to turn fear and anger towards people who have become sick. Ask yourself:

Would you think or do the same thing if this was a different infectious disease, like the flu?

Does what I’m doing make people safer or does it create more fear or harm?

The risk of COVID-19 is not at all connected with race, ethnicity, or nationality. Blaming others will not help fight the illness. Seeking and sharing accurate information will.

Recognize signs of stress in yourself. Identify what you are afraid of. Figure out if what you fear is something that you can address right now. If not, know what activities help you release energy from stress and fear, such as physical activity, listening to music, or talking with someone you trust. Do something that puts you in a positive mood.
