The One Device – The Secret History of The iPhone by Brian Merchant is an excellent book. Highly recommend.

Brian talks to people at Apple – as much as he can thanks to the layers of NDAs Apple enforces with it’s employees. He delves into the history of the technologies that make up the iPhone. Steve Jobs did not invent the touch screen despite anything you read on THE INTERWEBZ!!!! He goes to the factory where the iPhone is made and illegally infiltrates it.

This book is all around informative and entertaining.
