I hit on three girls majoring in journalism. When asked why they choose journalism all three told me “because you don’t have to take any math classes.”
The inability of anyone to figure out that 60% + 30% = 90% and that a pie chart has to add up to 100% shows their attitude to be the prevailing one.
They are the “Future Of America.”
Laurel Thompson writes “Women should get just as much, in not more, Olympic recognition.”
It’s loaded with Orwellian sentences like this:
The recurring issue here should be obvious and appalling to anyone who values egalitarianism of the sexes in every aspect of life—including historically male-dominated spheres like athletics.
Rather than insulting them straightforwardly, this kind of chauvinistic and dismissive rhetoric seems to be a growing trend among those who refuse to acknowledge that women are as capable of anything as their male counterparts.
How unfortunate that sexism has evolved into something so habitual and easily camouflaged that it continues to pervade the ethical boundaries of major publications.
In this way, misogynistic undertones continue to permeate our everyday language with such frightening normalcy that accountability will become even lesser if a new standard of value for women is not achieved.
It’s sad because she’s almost doable. In these photos she looks above average and she has damn good taste in music.
On the negative side: Journalism major. Femistatist. Current job, social media intern. She wants “an enjoyable job that will provide me with the opportunity to fine-tune my skills and become part of a professional team.”
That’s called getting married. You are the part of the team that stays in the kitchen making pies.

Stein asserts that college should be free because people need college to get jobs. Yet right now there are people who have college degrees who don’t have jobs. How does making college “free” to the students create jobs?
Stein emotes about mortgages and shows that she has no understanding of money or math.
